Absentee Voting
#1
Yesterday was the first day for absentee voting. Anyone go? No problems and line moved quickly. Had an address change which they took care of within 5 minutes.

Are you talking about absentee voting or walk-in voting?

I'm confused about the absentee voting which a call to the elections office said ends on Election Day, 8/11 (you take your absentee ballot to your polling place or the Elections office) which defeats the purpose of the absentee ballot, IMHO.

Hmm? Well, it was walk-in. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the sign out side the office said, "Absentee Polling."

Has anyone voted absentee???? Just got my ballot (we were "pocket precinct") and the envelope says to "remove the ballot stub by folding along the perforation" but my ballot HAS no perforations or anything that looks like a "ballot stub"....

Is it just me????

haha... yeah I got hit with that remove stub as well, I examined the ballot vary carefully and no stub. I think the "secret" ballot envelope instructions are from an older ballot. I wonder how many other people are confused. I think it's more confusing that I only know a few people on the ballot and will have to google names to figure out what they stand for. I got some junk mail from bob marx, he's looking really old even tho I like his idea's I'm hoping to find someone with a little more younger. Every picture the guy has his mouth wide open like he's about ready to hit the bucket.
