Not-so-smart meters, int'l protest 10/4
#1
Maui's doing it. Know of any protests here on the BI? Yeah, yeah, hold the 'tin foil hat' comments please. It gets old and stinky.

http://actiondaytostopsmartmeters.org/
"Citing thousands of instances of ‘smart’ meter fires, health problems, and violations of privacy laws, the National Campaign to Stop Smart Meters and Wireless Radiation Protection Coalition are calling for a National Day of Action on October 4th to demand an immediate moratorium on further “smart meter” installations and a blanket recall due to safety problems. Join us!!"

Please come to Ka’ahumanu Mall on Maui this Saturday and stop by our table to meet us, ask questions, and pick up some flyers. We’ll have some sweet treats too! We’ll be there from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What: Stop Smart Meters Info Table
Where: Queen Ka'ahumanu Shopping Center, Maui
When: 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Why: To show support and learn more about “smart” meters/grid
For info about the events across the US and Canada in conjunction with National Day of Action Against “Smart” Meters. click here: www.ActionDaytoStopSmartMeters.org.
A “smart” meter protest is happening Washington D.C. on Thursday. Please call the White House on Thursday at 202-456-1111 to voice your opposition to smart meters. You can also submit a comment online by clicking here: http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact/submit...d-comments
Share the facts that "smart" meter mesh networks consume significant energy as part of their routine operation, invade the privacy of our homes, send out pulses of microwave radiation day and night, subject residents to health problems, increase risks of fire and cyber attacks, raise energy bills, and can cause power disruption.
Also, Oct. 9 is the last day to submit PEIS comments as part of the Federally mandated programmatic environmental impact survey for proposed “smart” grid technologies in Hawaii (including “smart” meters, undersea cables, and big wind). Click here to submit your comments now: www.tinyurl.com/HIpeis.

If you keep repeating the same nonsense then you'll keep getting the same response.

Here's a question: which should I be more worried about - smart meters or chemtrails? Does vinegar work against smart meters too?

Dunno 'bout Chemtrails, but it works on Slug-t®ails.

We will have drones looking through our bedroom windows long before the smart meters are installed. Which one is a bigger threat to our privacy?

It's easier (and cheaper) to avoid the "smart" meter by going off-grid.

Nothing will stop the coming uber-surveillance, just like nothing stops the helicopters today.

I don't know about cheaper, but your right about being off-grid. Vote with your dollars. Don't like HELCO, go off grid. Don't like what the banksters are doing, don't like being slave to a mortgage, build your own house. Don't like what Monsanto is doing, grow your own organic food. Take matters into your own hands. Huge hunks of metal flying in the air carrying hundreds of passengers and cargo? NONSENSE! Watch little people acting, singing, dancing, lying to promote agendas, in boxes right in your own home? NONSENSE! Instantaneous information at your fingertips? NONSENSE! Poison in out water, food, and air as disease and suffering escalates? NONSENSE! Drones watching you through your bedroom windows with the capability snuffing you out on demand? NONSENSE!

Kalakoa, smart meters have been installed, sometimes forcefully, and it's a matter of time before it comes here unless we do something to prevent it. There are other issues aside from forced surveillance.

SBH, I'm in total agreement with you and I'm also off grid, 95% out of the banking system, and debt free. There are still many who are unaware of the situation we're facing and may benefit from the messages as it will inspire them to do their own research. The NONSENSE group will continue to remain ignorant and use ridicule because that's all they know, which is OK with me since they are not the ones I'm reaching out to.

I like my smart meter.
Assume the best and ask questions.

I'm pretty sure smart meters are already here... Aren't they the meters that send the electronic reading straight to the electric company? If so, they are here because we have one. The only thing I'm suspicious of there is that our bill jumped about $50 after it was installed. Hmph.

You mean we're getting smart meters before the surveillance drones?

Anyone else notice we got TPMS reader loops on the highways even though you can't drive off the island? Is that more or less bad than "smart" meters?
