Yes..Your correct Loretta. It was advertised at $1.49. But when I went there and got my maximum limit (which is 10)the cashier said it was a misprint and that they are $2.00 not $1.49. I wasn't happy...but I really couldn't complain since it's still way cheaper than walmart

We recently had a shopping trip to Safeway. We don't go often but needed some "supermarket" items. The bill came to $180.00!!! The cashier said that if we signed up for the Safeway club card we could save some money. It took two seconds to sign up, they ran our checkout ticker and actually handed me $36.00 cash back. Whooo Hoooo!!! I can also now go to their website and they will actually show competitors prices when they are lower and meet the lower price in the store. Still won't get me there too much more, but when I do have to go it will be pretty handy.

They have a new program at Safeway where you can get a free dozen eggs too...they will customize coupons to your "usual" shopping items for you according to your Safeway card #.
I just saw that watermelon is .27 per pound at Foodland! That's a good one and now is awesome for watermelon - so sweet & juicy. Also in the coupon section for Foodland I saw a .99 per pound for Cherries offer...I think you need a "rewards" coupon for that...not sure how that works though. If your not too concerned with brands..... Long's has a perpetual sale on Vodka. 1.5 liter bottle's for $10.99. The cheapest price on the Island hands down. It's not exactly Gray Goose quality...but it gets the job done...
