Where to moor a boat???

Say-- just checking out boat ownership, but not sure if there's anywhere to moor a boat full time in the Puna/Hilo area. Suggestions? Thanks!

Reeds Bay, Wailoa river and Radio Bay (RB - needs TSA clearance -TWIC ID) for mooring - Launching Wailoa River

there are moorings in reeds bay you are responsible for your own weights, what size boat do you have? i know a mooring for sale, as they moved to a slip. it has to have insurance on boat and also pass a safety inspection. there are also slips available at the boat harbor in hilo. the price just went up by alot so many people pulled their boats. same thing, must have insurance, and safety check. if a sailboat, the mast would have to come down for the slips or get on a waiting list for the slips by suisan where you can keep your mast up.
