Hmm, it sounds like they were favoring the upcountry today. What, no love for the lower elevations? So annoying ...
They may have been buzzing Hamakua as well. I didn't have any low over my house, but I kept hearing them fly over to some destination a bit farther on perhaps.
I wonder if our Ninole member got any love in his hood.

They were here at the lower elevations. For about +hour or more so we thought someone might have tried swimming too far out.

They were sweeping Leilani too, apparently got lucky at a couple of spots on my block judging by all the racket.

Kathy, Bill has gotten great press over the years and yes, he appears to be a very good guy. Don seems to have mellowed out considerably over the years and even some of the Magic Band guys have been saying nice things about him in the press.
I thought the version of the Magic Band I saw should have been declared a national cultural treasure, like they do in Japan in a Dishpan.**S**
So, the ghetto birds are back, yet again.

Kathy, Great stuff. They were no ka oi. I can see where the desert would inspire great artists. O'Keefe comes to mind.
We just had a black chopper buzzing Leilani, flying lower than I have ever seen here. Wonder what the story is.

Thanks David,
I wonder what's up then. Maybe they're tour helicopters. Usually the planes stand out closer to the coast, but they've been closer to me as well, so maybe it's something about the winds that's resulting in a lot of aircraft. It was crazy today and yesterday, every 15 minutes it seemed.

when they are hovering 30 feet above the field near your house, with a guy dangling from a rope and a bundle of plants, you can be assured that they are not tourist helicopters.
