Just got a letter from Hawaiian Telcom telling me that they have doubled my DSL speed and upgraded me to their premium tier at no cost.
A nice surprise !![Smile]

Lucky you - to even have DSL! Do they say what speed you're going to get?
Whereabouts do you live, if you don't mind me asking? At my location in HPP, HTel said we'd be getting DSL "soon".
They've been saying that for at least 5 years.

We are in Kapoho Vacationland.

They claim we will have 7 Mbps.

Aloha Friends,

Hey Obie, is DSL readily available for everyone in Vacationland or is there a waiting list? We are trying to figure out internet and TV options.

Test your speed here (Mcafee only goes to 2Mbps)

Wow! Why don't they at least give everyone the speed they are already paying for? I would be happy with that in Seaview.

Beware the performance "upgrade" ... Ours has be in and out since we got it. The guys come out, replace the box, look @ the wall box and say everything looks o.k. .... Its NOT. I'm ready to call and ask to be 'unplugged' and started back @ the lower speed.

aloha,

It is not available at this time and there is no wait list. You have to call every morning and ask if it is available.
You may find someone close by who is willing to share dsl with you.

Satellite is the only option for TV out here.
