Nothing personal Kathy, you are right, but most people are not like you. I'm fairly(?) [

Peter Kubota has provided excellent service for me, at a reasonable fee. Perhaps, 8, it would be worth the expense to have him review your docs and craft a letter to your neighbor explaining the legal obligations (and lack of) between the parties. Sort of "a stitch in time".

Daniel, Peter was not interested in our case.

The idea of busy attorneys scares me just a little bit.

Eight,
If there is nothing except dozed lava and jungle in the easement, I would just leave it be. That, in fact, maintains the easement. If your neighbor thinks that it is your responsibility to build her a driveway or do landscape maintainance, I am sure that she is mistaken.

Don't buy the "busy" stuff, I can assure you if they see enough money in the case they are not busy

DanielP, Yes, the driveway is dozed lava in the jungle. It needs work to keep the jungle at bay. She is expecting us to do that.
It was suggested we have the title company look into this so yesterday we called them. Since a chain was put across the entrance to our land without our permission, it could be there is some misunderstanding (by the neighbor, not me) as to who really owns the land.
