Not me, but the empty house house next door has one heck of a hive. You can hear them buzz from 50 yards away and there is 5 yards of thick rainforest growth between us as well. Come get 'em. Smile

Obie,
We have a pile of plastic that was discarded on our property before we bought it and Bees moved in under it. We've already paid to have them transferred to a bee box and they are moving/moved in it now. In about 5 days we'll me moving them elsewhere on the property and tending to them thereafter (new experience for us). Anyhow... I’m just checking to see if anyone here kept them so we'd have another person to collaborate with and get some pointers etc.

mdd7000,
The guy we have transferring our bees is very reasonably priced if your interested in having them relocated (he will take them or set you up with them in a hive box, the choice is yours, same price). He's more interested in getting people to keep them to help the bee population on the island though. Would you like his name and number?

We moved our hive once upon a time, we had to wait until night, then stuffed newspaper in the entry way, then relocated early the next morning, before sun up. They did fine. Were you asking about how to move them? Maybe I didn't read your post right.

Enjoy the day! Ann

Ann,
The Bee guy already removed them from the original hive site and they are now getting accustom to the bee box at original location. This coming friday night we will be relocating them to another part of the property so we can clean up the trash they were under.

Hundreds of bees swarming in my driveway in lower HPP.
They are now in a small Ohia tree and it is raining.
I don't want them to find a home in my attic. ANY IDEAS?

Do not procrastinate on convincing them to move!

We did, and in less than 12 hours they moved into the space between the ceiling and roof of our downstairs bathroom. It was a messy hassle and I am very allergic, so it was also dangerous. I would do everything you can to make them think that your place is not their next home.
