Hey everyone,
I've already did a search and didn't see anything about anyone on here drawing plans. I'm looking for someone local. That can draw me some plans, so I can submit them for my construction permit. I'd like someone that is affordable and can get the plans stamped also.
My design is basic and nothing hard. Got pictures of what I'm after and how many rooms I want. Everything is in my head and I'm looking for someone to get it on paper, so I can apply for my permit in Dec.

I draw plans but I don't do plans for wood frame structures.
Assume the best and ask questions.

He has done many plans and works with Bob Smelker to stamp them.

Richard Root is another local draftsman that can do any kind of plans for you. He has 30 years experience drafting and building on the Big Island, and also uses Bob Smelker for the Architect Stamp.
I started working with Richard last year, and we can help with permit processing as well.

Among other types, I do the wood frame construction plans, if that's the type you'd prefer. All types - double wall, single wall or post & beam, if you prefer. There are several different folks who can stamp designs if you'd like options. I usually prefer a stamp from a structural engineer instead of an architect since by the time the plans are drawn the home owner's designs have already been chosen so getting a stamp from someone who's specialty is the building's strength seems better.

My wifes cousin Filipe Domingo does plans and also Dawn Santiago of Hilo Drafting. Send me an email and I will get you in contact. Cousin is usually busy but can check on his schedule. Dawn is great to work with and Smelker I believe works out of her office when he comes here from Oahu.
