VICTORY in sight for Gay Civil Unions

So why are some people so afraid of allowing a state license for two people of the same sex, that has nothing sexual about it, yet those people always use sex as an excuse? The only thing I can see is they want the enjoyment of those protections for themselves but won’t extend equal protection to others - OR - they are closet homosexuals and are afraid that their pool of available partners will be reduced if marriage commitments are followed. Based on the arguments many have made, I think they are really homo's themselves.

TOTAL AGREEMENT with you on this one.
Thanks for articulating this position so well.

This is a belief based on ignorance. There have been many people who have written and spoken well on the origins of homosexuality and it is factually not a choice. before you go on again, why not do some research and educate yourself. It seems no amount of anyone responding to you or many responses about your last homophobic thread on don't ask don't tell (punaweb archives"DADT") have made any difference. I think it is pointless to try to educate someone who Obviously chooses to remain ignorant.

JerryCarr:"Oh yeah, that's right. One day I decided that I just didn't have enough people in this world who wanted to beat me up, throw me out of my profession, throw me into jail, and generally make life miserable for me, so I joined the homosexuals."
Great reply! Mahalo for the laughs! Smile

Maybe kalamaboy's belief is based upon ignorance. So what?
It is his opinion. You aren't going to change it no matter how much you and your alter-ego, dugger, bully him.
Just leave him alone, David.

"Who is David? Thought your name was Mark???
no joke we aren't going to change him. That's exactly what I said. Glad you agreed with my point."

Who is David? You're killing me. Secret's out, 60+ year old Scottish man with a park ranger neighbor.

So now you want to "change him"? That proves his other point from the DADT thread. Don't feel bad, David K. You tried hard to change him to your ways.

I guess you now know why I post this, and it's not because I own one:

I take it, Rob, that my email about dugger and orchidlandguy was not received by you? The info is quite interesting.

I did assume the best - until facts presented the opposite.
dugger - did the same to me, with no opposition.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU ARE REFERRING TO.
MY NAME IS NOT DAVID.
I AM NOT 60 (far from it).
I HAVE NO SCOTTISH BLOOD AT ALL.
I DO NOT HAVE A NEIGHBOR WHO WORKS FOR PARK SERVICE.

Whoever David K is, I suggest you go over to his house or email him. You will be surprising someone. If you think it is me, them consider it an invitation.
The only facts I have shared is that I am currently bed-confined from a 4WD accident where I took a fall over a cliff edge. Thus, I am easy to locate if you really think I am David K please come over, the sooner the better. Consider it an open invite to all of you.

Since I am not David K I would love to be a fly on the wall of that guy's abode. [Smile]

Rob,
Even though this mdd7000 is wrong about me, isn't this a violation of punaweb?
As a person who he "tired" to out I would like mdd7000 to suffer the consequences of his actions.

Thank you,
Orchidlandguy
NOT DAVID
NOT SCOTTISH
NOT A NEIGHBOR OF PARK SERVICE
NOT SENDING EMAILS OR PHONING (why would I do that? Who cares?)

Back to topic,

The Trib has some questions and answers today regarding the bill:

http://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/arti...ocal02.txt

and an additional article makes this interesting statement:

"There's many heterosexual seniors that are not getting married because of Social Security,"

Mahalo Rob.

Again I ask; If two elderly sisters wish to enter into a civil union for all of the benefits it could allow them, why should they be denied these "basic civil rights"?

Interesting that they did not mention cousins in their list of ineligible people that can receive these basic rights.
