Defending Div2 state champion Pahoa is again surprising opponents on Oahu. They've reached the semi finals by defeating Mckinnely in OT last night. They play Island Pacific tonight at 5:00pm. The game should be broadcast on 850AM radio. I don't know about TV coverage.

Unfortunately, Pahoa lost to Farrington in the finals. Still, it's a great accomplishment to be in the elite round of the playoffs again. Go Daggers!

I'll try; but I gotta confess I didn't make a single home game this year. Last year I managed to get to a couple of Pahoa's Volleyball and Girls softball games. I'm hoping the new gym will boost attendance to match the improved quality of the school's athletics. If I can manage to get a luxury Suite, you're all invited!

Why no football?
In my opinion, it's because Pahoa's Athletic Director, for reasons known only to him, chooses not to promote athletics within the school. The recent success of the school's Basketball and Volleyball programs have actually forced him to attend a few games. He probably finds this terribly inconvenient.
Another question; Why no swimming team?
