Clock Repairs?
#1
Do any of the good folks on Punaweb know anyone that does clock repairs? I have 3 that are broken. None are that expensive or fancy, in fact two of them only cost $10. But I like their style/look and wanted to try and fix them instead of throwing them in the landfill. I've checked with jewelry/watch repair folks to no avail.

The clocks have been broken a while. Checking on here is my last ditch before dumping them. Thanks for suggestions!

You can always go down to Ben Franklin and get some battery powered clock movements. Shouldn't be to hard to get the old movements out and install the replacements.

Aloha Spunky,

Yup, I fix clocks, but generally only the old mechanical movements. If it has a key or weights, then that's the sort I fix. Wall clocks, mantel clocks, grandfather clocks, cuckoo clocks, those sorts of critters.

If you just need a new movement for a battery operated clock, then try http://timesavers.com/ They sell all sorts of battery operated movements and it is real easy to swap out the movements.

Hotzcatz,
Tried sending you an email not sure if it you received it. I have a cuckoo clock and a German vintage key wind anniversary clock, have not worked for a long time! Could you contact me if you are interested in looking at them to see if they could be repaired.

Be forewarned, klockit sends you tons of spam and paper junk mail once they have your addresses, and do not take you off the list once they have you on it, no matter how many times you ask.

hotzcatz - your email account is apparently not accurate. I have a grandfather clock that needs cleaning and repair and have a cousin that also has one. Would love to contact you but do not know how given the email account registered apparently is not correct or working.

Hotzcatz sounds like the person to go to! All mine are battery powered so I will try the link you mentioned. Thanks! Sounds like there are a lot of people out there with the same problem.

Weird. All I get is a catalog every three/four months and about as manay emails. I've been a customer for about six years. Not trying to stand up for them.
