Clock Repairs?
#11
How odd! I'll have to see what email address is listed for me here. But anyway, it's hotzcatz at either yahoo or hotmail and I check the yahoo account more often.

We are in the middle of moving to a new house, but I guess I'd better hurry up and get the clock room shifted pretty quick!

I've checked the profile page here and it should be working now.

There's a clock repair place in the mall in Hilo. Sorry - don't know name. I think it might be jewelry and watch/clock repair. They have some big ol' grandfather clocks at the rear of the store and wall clocks, so it's definitely clock repair, not just watch repair.

Eightfingers,
I never bought from them, just made an inquiry over 10 years ago and STILL get spam, no matter how many times I ask them not to. The catalogs have followed us through every address change, again no matter how many time as them not to send it. They sell some cool stuff though.

Thanks for the tip but they do NOT do clock repairs. They were one of the first places I went to over a year ago. Told me they couldn't help me. Maybe they do watches, but they were unwilling/unable to repair any of the clocks I have.

Yeah, that place in the mall doesn't repair anything nor do they stock repair parts. I think you can get a watch battery changed but that's about it. There is a watch repair guy over on the Kona side, but he's kinda fussy about which watches he will repair.

Like Royall said, the Ben Franklin in Hilo has battery powered clock movements. They are fairly easy to change out. I have done a few, and it usually only takes simple tools.
