Bounty Hunters in Pahoa again.
#1
I don't know the name of the show on Nat Geo Channel, but no surprise to see a bunch of bounty hunters running around Puna. From HPP to Beaches to Hawaiian Acres these guys finally caught a guy hiding out in Puna for 7 months. The show is called "Bounty Hunters".

Nice to have filming in Puna. For a really bad film filmed in Puna, see "Four Frightened People" by Cecile B. DeMille.

Dog the bounty hunter has done shows from Puna side three times. Last one had Nanawalle and Beaches with lots of footage on Wawa. The other episode I caught was driving thru Hawaiian Acres, Fern Forest and Orchidland. guy finally caught in Eden Rock

And didn't he, or his wife say something like "You don't want to get caught in Puna after dark"? You might see some beautiful constellations. Run!

There was a brown van with lights and siren ( but it did not look like regular police issue ) going down 130 yesterday. does anyone know if its a real cop?

I also saw that van on 130 yesterday. It was heading towards Pahoa (from Hilo direction) between Makuu and the new Police station around 5:15 pm...Was thinking along the same lines as Seeb...

Honestly, I get a chuckle everytime someone I know mentions dogs no gun policy. The guy is a convicted felon, so he couldn't have one anyhow.

That said, beyond seemingly being a publicity hound, the guy does gets results.

Kona, Volcano, Hilo too. Not a bad movie, my sister and I had fun watching it when it was new and had some laughs about some of the locations being used - Hilo Intermediate for the Police Station etc. We were also amused by one of the wealthy victim's proposals to build a resort overlooking the Pu'u O'o eruption site (this was the eighties and they used spectacular and high quality footage of the fountaining in the initial stages of the eruption).
