Because we would need custom boxes anyhoo, we are planning to have the boxes custom built (welder at work...) Hilo sheet metal has the plate... They look like alum doors/glass over wood boxes.
Are you going to have them weld the whole thing - alum boxes and faces?

The web site with the glass front aluminum doors mounted on cabinet boxes has wood box construction, the Buyers cabinets are all aluminum (and we have also seen other stainless & aluminum cabinets with the glass front doors...) our plan is to have welded aluminum boxes.
All of the doors we have found are european mount, so we can do just about anything with the faces, as they are a decor item (maybe face with some nifty wood, or a composite item, or diamond plate (the Buyers cabinets have DP faces that are brake folded) ... still have time for these details....and there are some really interesting composite materials that have caught my eye.... but some of the woods are nice...and it would be fairly easy to change them out if they turn out to be very edible to some critter... Gawd I really do not relish decor stuff... so many decisions.... and so much is edible!
