3-wheeler - adult trike?
#1
Anyone know where I can find a 3-wheeler for adults? I don't feel safe on the gravel roads, but I want to ride! Target & Walmart = no go - on floor anyway -- walmart.com says Hilo store has one but you have to ask for it (i.e., it's not assembled). I put a bike together years ago and swore I'd never do it again. SO - local bike stores -- are there any that don't charge an arm and a leg?

Looks like Walmart does have one and they will assemble for free. Still, I want to check around for alternatives, so any recommendations still welcome!

I used to work in the bicycle industry, and the trikes were notorious for being unstable and tipping over when making even wide turns. I remember a bike shop manager talking to me about how much he hated them because they tended to be bought by seniors who then got hurt when they tipped, but his store owner insisted they had to stock them. There are super rugged fat tire bikes with great shock absorbers out there, they are designed for non bike friendly environments like gravel roads and potholed city streets. If you get any bike, get a good helmet, and any bike in Puna needs good tall flags so no driver pops over one of these bumps n the road and discovers you right in front of them. Have fun.

Hey, it's a bicycle version of an art car! I'm sure there is a story behind it too. Getting on might be a problem though.

You'd need a ladder.
