December 10th!!
Last year I hosted a Cookie Exchange.[:p] Had several EZ-Ups with Christmas lights. There was hot coco and marshmallows[
] served (even smelled some peppermint schnapps in the air!)[:0] and everybody out did them selves with veriety the cookies (and some homemade candies) they brought to share. There was about 40 people last year! Most everyone was under the EZ-Ups and out of the rain. Had the generator running to keep the festive light shinning and cozy.[^]
For last years parade we (help from Jim, Carey, and others)had 4-5 EZ-Ups set up on the Old Volcano Road, right across the street from the Kea'au Farmer's Market. It takes the parade awhile to get there but the parking in that area is easy and close to restrooms and other amenities. I'm planning to be in the same place but will be looking at alternate sites that may be a little bit more level. I'll post again if there is any change to the venue.
I'm not associated in anyway with Kea'au or the parade people. Just had a lot of fun doing it last year and thought I'd try it once more.[
] If you do come to enjoy, please bring your chairs and HOPEFULLY homemade cookies to share. Also bring your cookies in a reusable container because at the end of the parade everyone can take some of the left over cookies home to dip into your Sunday morning coffee![:p][]
