Recent reports suggest ROSAT went down somewhere in SE Asia. It's an interesting topic for me - many of my colleagues twenty years or so ago used data from ROSAT, it was a state-of-the-art orbiting telescope back in those days, but clearly not much thought was given to what happens when it eventually returns to earth.
