I believe Shirley Temple met her second husband, Charles Black, in Hawaii where he was involved in shipping.

Visited troops 1939/assistant to the pres of Hawaii pineapple co/etc many connections.told me it was her favorite place in the world and I'm pretty sure that by 1994 she had seen the world.filmed at least 1 movie there as well.so put the cherry juice in the 7 up and give her a big ALOHA toast

She only added to her reputation after she grew up and did nothing to tarnish the respect the public had for her. A life well lived, she will be remembered for a long, long time.

RIP, Shirley Temple, a lovely human being who brought joy to millions as a child and served her country with grace and dignity as an adult.
She was my very first idol.
RIP Shirley and you will live on for a very long time in your legacy.
