Couldn't have said it any better Pam. Punaweb is not just a blog...but the pulse of the largest population center on the Big Island. We discuss local topics which have been viewed by the mayor, our local reps and area business owners who get an idea how people feel about current issues

I trust that most people would have already understood that he meant to describe words that end in "er", based upon the original post with the **** in it.

Personally, I find this sort of phenomenon informative. The shield of anonymity protects trollish, hostile, or potentially psychologically unhinged posters from the bright light of community scrutiny and other appropriate action
It certainly reduces it, but it doesn't stop people who are determined to make fools of themselves posting under their own names. John Rabi being the most notable one here, and a couple of others. You can see it on Facebook as well.

Missed your insight - Andrew!
I am not as eloquent as AlohaSteven, pslamont or others in the PUNAWEB/Punatalk family and my skin is not thick enough for some of the vitriol thrown around now and then. So, I post only rarely now. The short and sweet of it - if not for PUNAWEB/Punatalk - we would be wannabes - wanting but never experiencing - Hawai'i - Aloha - 'Aina - 'Ohanna - Paradise.
Mahalo - Rob Tucker!
Aloha nui loa - to all - J&B "O".

Rob, I'd leave the thread. It sorta holds us together. I've noticed, btw, that people have been a lot more pleasant in recent months. The if-you-can't-say-it-in-person rule seems to be working. Mahalo, all!
