Obama endorses Schatz
#1
Several news organizations are reporting that President Obama has endorsed Brian Schatz in the Democratic Primary for the Hawaii U.S. Senate seat formerly held by Daniel Inouye. This could have some impact in what has been seen as a close race up to this point. Colleen Hanabusa has not been impressive as a member of the House and has shown a sense of entitlement to the Senate seat. Should be interesting moving forward.

Brian Schatz is a thorough and consistent progressive Democrat. Colleen Hanabusa tends to the Blue Dog/Conservadem side. I like President Obama's choice.

Remember that the Gov. did not honor Dans replacement choice, but instead installed Schatz
Also remember that Schatz is in alingment with UN mandates that seek to disarm Americans as well as implement Agenda 21
Obama has not upheld his campaign promises , and his popularity is at an all time low. Schatz / Obama -2 peas in a pod

Hanabusa picked the wrong side in the 2008 Dem primaries (Hillary) and is now getting payback.

Glad to read this. Hanabusa famously dragged her feet on getting civil unions passed several years ago, and fortunately has come around to full marriage equality. Since I'd rather vote for a real Democrat who is not part of the old Inouye political machine, I'm supporting Schatz.

Da Guv is under no obligation to "honor" the overreaching, undue influential handpicking from the grave. And rightly so.

The sense of entitlement from the Hanabusa isn't really that surprising.

Agree with you, Sir. Politics at it's best (or worse).

Either way, we will have years of work to get back the senority that Inouye held. Schatz is still young, but seems to have the Washington politics handled. We shall see who we continue to write to for Puna.

JMO.

P.S. (O/T) I do miss Patsy Mink, too. She was a good representative for Hawai'i. Bless her soul.
