I just met this young man and he, too, like the other candidates has some good ideas. I just wanted to bring his name into the game.
I suggested he come here and post and introduce himself this AM.
So whats the deal? District 4 now has a couple of good people to choose from and other districts not so much?? LOL

I met him (Greggor) at the Makuu Market. He seems like a smart young guy who is sincere about helping the people of Puna. I guess the local schools are doing a lot better than people give them credit for.
It seems like we finally have some intelligent candidates, it will be a new experience to have a choice of who to vote "FOR" , rather than the lesser of morons.

Greggor is so refreshing as a candidate, finally I feel like participating in the county council elections again! Meeting him and talking story really made me realize there is a chance for Puna to finally be heard and get all the maintenance we really need out here!! His politics are very clean and honest: LESS GOVERNMENT, MORE LOCAL SUPPORT! Best of luck Greggor, I know you will get elected, you are the right guy for the job! And thanks you so much for taking part of clean elections funding, we need more candidates running an honest campaign! [

I've known Greggor for well over a decade now, and he has always had a big heart with a willingness to help others. As a teen and family friend, he would do the regular teenage stuff like raid my kitchen for Ramen noodles, but he's come a long way since then! I'm so blessed to see the intelligent, empathetic, and hard working man Greggor has turned out to be. His personal faith informs his ethics. His time in the Air National Guard has taught him discipline and service to others. And his honest upbringing has given him a commitment to his local roots. Greggor will definitely be an effective public servant!

I met Greggor for the second time at the HPP candidate forum last Sunday. I was very impressed with the way he has grown into his candidacy since our first meeting. The first thing he plans to do if elected is to form alliances with other Council members to see that Puna gets its fair share of Capital Improvement and General Appropriation funds. That is a marked contrast to the last two reps who have both relied on Geothermal funds to get projects done. Greggor also has a nuts and bolts approach for gradually improving the HPP and other subdivision roads and bringing them under County responsibility. This young man has some very practical and doable solutions for some of our problems. He is definitely worth considering.

Are there any candidates that want less government? Or do all we have to vote for are lobbyist to get money from our overseers?

Well, if it's any comfort to you, Greggor has specifically stated that he doesn't want the county government to get any bigger. The point I am trying to make is simply that the county isn't going away, and we need someone to help Puna get it's share of resources and do something about the subdivision conundrum.
