Whats up with the Medical Marijuana reforms?

Never heard what happened regarding the proposed back stepping by the State regarding existing Hawaiian laws VS Federal interference...Anybody up to date on this ?????

The state (or county, at least) just bent over and let the feds do what they will. Medical Marijuana is NOT legal.

Is that due to a change in State ( or county legislation )?? Or are you saying that the laws are still the same, but local law enforcement in bending to federal pressure??

The provision that would have required doctors perscribing medical marijuana to report every time and place where they discussed the medical benfits or marijuana was removed by the House Judiciary committee. So, there looks to be no change in state law.

Federal Law trumps state law in areas of Federal jurisdiction. The claimed basis for Federal jurisdiction in drug laws in the commerce clause. However, if the Supreme Court stricks down "Obamacare" as beyond Federal jurisdiction under the commerce clause, it would create a good question of how the commerce clause could support Federal jurisdiction over drug laws. Just saying . . .
