Has anyone been to Kamilo Beach?
I googled but couldn't find much information on how to get there exactly. Do you need a 4x4? 4x4 with extra high clearance? Is the way there worse than going to Greensand?
Any tips or warning on this place? I just want to see the trash.

Yes, you will need 4WD with clearance, usually different routing than Greensands... there was a cleanup along the coast last weekend (at Manuka).
Best way to "See the trash" is being a part of the cleanup teams. They actually do pin-point the highest trash locations, so you can get the "full effect" (hey, maybe this is a new 'tourist destination' type thing, "come to paradise & see the infamous Garbage Beach with REAL plastic sand"

If you go yourself, the road branches off from South Point road about 4 miles from the highway; it's briefly paved but quickly turns to dirt/gravel. It forks partway down; both will get you there, but it's better to take the right (west) fork as the left one has some *very* deep ruts (like three feet deep). You hit the coast at Kaalualu bay and Kamilo is to the east. Don't go off the road as there are a lot of rare coastal plants in the area.
