Coconut Palm
#1
Hey! Suggestions on feeding a coconut Palm? We've got a LOT of them on the property we're buying and I would like to keep them healthy.

Coconut palms are like weeds. Just leave them alone and they will grow 30 feet tall.

One of them is that tall, but it's making only a couple coconuts so I figured it might need food.

Controlling undergrowth of weeds & keeping grasses short is the 1st step in increasing the productivity of most palms, inc. coconuts/ We have had lower rain in the last year which can effect palm productivity, along with decreased honey bees....

you can utilize a nitrogen/potassium fertilizer, but this may not help if the problems are weeds/rain/bees....

Regular applications of Palm fertilizer that contains nitrogen, potassium, and magnesium will maximize the health and nut production of your palms.

A less expensive source of nutrition would be any farm animal manure if you have a ready source in your neighborhood.
