Actually, Tacoma is a way nicer place than when I was a kid (I'm now 58). I wouldn't hesitate to live there in many neighborhoods now.

My favorite place to eat in Pahoa is Paolo's Bistro. Genuine hand prepared, the ambiance is old neighborhood Italy.
