Cant believe this

I read the media release and near the top it said he was released pending further investigation, but as I kept reading and got towasrds the bottom of the same release, it stated that he was still at the East Hawaii Detention Center. I t was either a typo or they were going to let him go and relized that there was an outstanding bench warrant for his arrest.

It's not really confusing to me Ken.The story you linked to includes this statement "However, he remains in custody on a separate no-bail warrant."

I apologize. My full post somehow was not fully completed.

I meant to say the KITV says he’s out, but still in jail, along with the link.

Then I meant to say, that KPUA just says he is out.

So yes, Obie, it is confusing.

At any event, I am quite sure that if he is indeed still in jail, it will not be for much longer.

Oh! I was SO happy to see others of like-mind notice that news bit! What the heck?? First we share concerns about the law enforcement, now we question the judicial side. I'm pretty disgusted with this.

Well,I better edit this until we learn more. Is he or is he not locked up? He's a lethal weapon as far as I'm concerned. Lock him up...there is no alleged guilt here (of course, this is my opinion).

To everyone who's disgusted with this, and all the other serious cases posted on punaweb recently, What are you going to do about it? The solution is EASY. Join us in ending the corruption and bring accountability. Carrie Walters has fought this alone for 3 years and she is WINNING. If you doubt that go see our update from today. If one woman could take on police, prosecutors, and judges all at the same time and now have THEM scared, imagine what she could do with larger numbers behind her. You don't need to be on the front lines, you just have to make your voice heard in the right venue. Contact us through the website if your interested in "Bringing Justice to the Islands".

I believe this starts all the way from the state legislature to the cops out on patrol. Just another example of this would be the 20 year old Austrailian tourist that killed another 16 year old female tourist was just sentenced to time served for 3rd degree neglegent homicide last month. It goes on to say that Tyson Dagley pled no contest to the MISDOMEANOR charge last month. Are you f-ing serious???[Sad!][Sad!] The judge also ordered him to pay a little more than $78,000 for restitution and will be on probation. So, I can imagine that the prosecuter's hands are tied if the state law says you can kill someone and it's a misdomeanor. It must be the laws and no racial bias if a tourist can get away with the same crime or similar. Maybe when one of these crimes[xx(] touches home for one or more legislators will these laws even be looked at. Shame on them!!

Yes, this time the tribune was first with bigislandnewscenter following up. The bail was set lat Thursday afternoon, he paid it and is now out. Now, there is not only the horror of the crash but the horror is he is out on the road -- again.

Ironic that felony reckless drivers are "okay" while "our" government spends its money persecuting people for "building code violations" and the like.

Yes, "ironic" is far too gentle a word. Perhaps "idiotic" is more accurate.
