Great News for me, I am a big baseball fan, especially minor league. Those teams are nice and are small enough to need help and sponsors.

This is one thing I would do my best getting involved in and support when we get setteled in next year.

I played a 1/2 season Rookie League in Mountain Home Idaho back 1975 for the Reds. I love to go see the games still. Not the Major League teams, but "real" baseball.

Aloha [:p]

I hadn't realized how old baseball was in Hawaii...starting up near the time of the birth of the game... was talking to a baseball affiliated neighbor & he remembers a lot about the old sugar leagues & the old Hawaii Stars winter league...quickly did a search & found this:

I got to watch a young and at the time unknown Ichiro Suzuki play for the Hilo Stars in the Hawaiian Summer League; 1993.

I heard about Ichiro playing here, that would have been cool...
Another player to watch for in about 2 years is Puna's own Kolten Wong, ....he went to Kam HS in Kea'au, and was drafted a couple years ago in 1st round by StL NL.... pure hitter!

save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha
