Another HPP rip off
#51
Sidenote..

I've had a tenant have someone walk in down stairs in the middle of the night. two young local kids who turned tailed and ran after my tenant charged at 'em with a machete in hand. no ****.

I also stand by the sign on my fence post "Owner doesn't call 911" with a photo of a gun below it. Smile

Jon,

You could do a Casey Jones from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, a hockey stick in a golf bag.

Cameras watching cameras, the "main" DVR hidden, the "bait" DVR out in the open with a cheap monitor. Cost, around $1000 and up depending, catching the ahole's, priceless....

Email me, my day job before I retired was Fire, Safety and Security at the University of Iowa. Be glad to give more tips, setting up a system is pretty easy...but it needs to be done correctly...

There are network cameras that can be mounted just about anywhere outside within maybe 400-600 ft of a computer/router. Maybe the neighborhood getting together splitting the cost and recording the car traffic with a couple of them, unless it is kids, then the fun begins, but they are easier to catch......

I recently installed wireless IP cameras from the site below. You can monitor remotely with smartphone or computer. They have built in motion detection and can save images and video via email and ftp.

we have tough gun laws, but you buy it once and you don't need to feed it, the example will be used here I am sure, guns work for responsible people.

My neighbor just alerted me to a suspicious vehicle that he thinks may be responsible for burglaries here in HPP. He said to be on the watch for a white chevy pickup with a single cab. They are most frequently out in the middle of the night.

Wildlife cameras that take photos when there is motion are easy to install and conceal, and relatively cheap. We set one up to photograph car license plates and caught the unlicensed pharmisists out collecting things to sell so they could make more meth.....[Big Grin]
