I drove by it after the ambulance and the police had arrived but before the road was closed. There was very stark evidence a major injury had occurred. I am sorry to see that the injury was fatal.

Those vendors had cars stopped on the highway..it's not the first accident they caused. Stop buying their trash, maybe they'll go away.

BO LOZOFF,Country singer and songwriter dies today. I am getting this information from friends and I believe that it is true.
"Unfortunately it is true. I'm sorry to have to pass this along. It happened around 3:45pm. He was traveling towards Pahoa from Kalapana and someone pulled out in front of him at the Leilani intersection. We're in shock also..."
Bo had just released a new CD that he was very proud of. He was my friend...I will sorely miss him. The time we have is not ours

Uilani, I am so sorry for your loss.
Bo was just at EHCC on the 17th with his CD release celebration... It is shocking to think that this happened.

Ya know, it's very sad that someone passed today...sending loving thoughts to his friends and family.

I have a friend that lives in Leilani and she sells her beautiful jewelry there sometimes. I always love the roadside vendors here. Just tonight I was at The Pho Cafe with a friend and a gentleman came in with hot banana bread for 5 bucks each. I've had it before and so I got it again. Now this guy has the guts to walk into places and up to strangers and tell them about his banana bread. I almost said no, but then I realized that THIS is the way to really buy LOCAL. Also - it's ono.

I haven't been to The Pho Cafe in months and I found out tonight that tomorrow is their last day open. She cannot afford it anymore. She will be teaching at Malamalama Waldorf School. She has been working for free often. Tomorrow is their last day if you are interested.

Very sorry for your loss. Yesterday there was a story circulating on the internet about how parents found out their daughter had died at college from Facebook instead of college officials.
Just as I was going online and going to PW I thought about how the gentleman's name had not been released yet. Some blogger's like Tiffany Edwards Hunt obviously knew the name but were waiting for police to officially release it. They do that so the family can be notified first.

I am sorry for the loss of your friend and the pain you are feeling. I am wondering if his family knew of his death before you posted his name on the internet? I hope so for their sake.

It was only a matter of time. I have idiots from Leilani pull out right in front of me at least 3 days a week. Don't they know the cars are coming at 55 mph. It's not a matter of no seeing me.

Bo was a gifted musician and a talented tour guide. I wish to express my sympathy to his family and friends and to the community which has also suffered a loss.
