rainyjim,
Nothing personal, but what a load of crap.
ps: There are pros and cons to seatbelts on buses. It's not just a cost issue.

Oink, sometimes it's hardest to see what's right in front of you. Being raised and indoctrinated in this society it's extremely difficult to see past the web of lies and realize what is truth and what is deception.
One day people will look back on capitalism, fascism, corporatism - whatever you wish to call the subjugation of masses and feel the same way you feel when you read about slavery in history books, or womens suffrage.
It's really easy to kickback at the end of the day and believe you worked an honest days work and earned an honest days pay when in reality you are just one cog wheel in a great system of gears that manufactures DU ammunitions, GPS guided ballistic missiles, and other instruments of terror so profound we can't even know about them! Ultimately every one of us that exchanges these federal reserve notes are just as responsible for these things as any other...
Sorry to de rail the post - just a wake up call - we've been at war for longer than ever before and no one even cares anymore.
Cheers

I almost hit my head on the back passenger side of a police SUV's window, in the Kea'au Foodland parking lot, as I moved my face forward to try to see if I was actually seeing a baby's car seat with a pretty pink blankee, the smallest purple slippers with large yellow daisies I've ever seen and a binky tied to a string.

Aw geez, this just gets worse. Carey, you may have to take this higher up the chain of command, and it may or may not help. Unfortunately, we do not have an independent Police Commission with the authority to effectively intervene. I have seen this CYA crap on a regular basis in the past, and it is infuriating. A sworn affidavit from your neighbor who witnessed that you were not in the car might help with that part at least.

Oink, the officer is more 'middle aged' than young...(although compared to me, younger - but I am a retired OF)...so... & is a local family man, so should know that midnight is not within 'normal' visiting hours.... but I do appreciate what you are trying to do, and I do agree totally that the most at fault is the one that got away...
but after midnight I was on a conference call between his supr & the officer.... and he still did not get that truth was needed at this moment.... much can be made of the lack of training these officers are getting, along with sub-standard equipment, and data systems that are not working (that, at least, I can & am, helping with)...
Still, there comes a point when truth is needed....and that point passed by me a while ago on this issue...

Carey, I'm glad you are documenting this nightmare! Lies and deceit to protect a newby officer? WRONG!
This officer has lied himself into a rabbit hole with no way out. You are a victim to a criminal AND to the law enforcement! I am so sorry you have to deal with this. There is an advocate website that is trying to bring out in the open violations of our rights but dang...I can't remember the site. They need to see this. I'll try to find it. Was hoping the person promoting the site would join in this thread.

I know you're kidding, but you failed to mention that she is a deaf dog.

Hey, I don't know. I was just trying to give a different perspective. The guy may be a total dweeb. There's plenty of them, in all professions, especially where unions and collective bargaining are concerned. And no I'm not going to rant against unions. I'm still a member. I do know unions and collective bargaining make it darn near impossible to get rid of the trash. Of course I guess that's better than having to worry you'll get fired for writing the Chief's neighbor a ticket. I hope it works out for you.

Mahalo to a concerned Punawebber for alerting us to this. We will be contacting Carey to offer our assistance.
What we will divulge publicly is that Carey's case is NOT unusual. We currently have many well documented cases all over this Island with the same tactics being used against the real victims, making them partially or fully responsible for the crimes committed against them. The net result has been victims are further traumatized by being stalked, harassed, assaulted, civilly sued, incarcerated, and one victim was murdered (officially unsolved).
The term "Keystone Cops" suggest ineptitude, it's much worse than that. Police reports are routinely blatantly & intentionally falsified, as in Carey's case. The response Carey has received from the chain of command is also routine, Carrie has termed it the "coconut blow-off". Go to HawaiiCorruption.wordpress.com and listen to Carrie's recorded meeting with Prosecutor Lucas Burns under the 9-14-12 update for a "coconut blow-off" example. Corruption is the only term to describe the actions of our police and prosecutors.
Carrie Walters was the first to go public which started the snowball effect of other victims contacting us. Our numbers and strength are growing, but more is better. So join our movement and help us make change that makes sense.
