Kaumana Killing- Don't look around house unarmed!
#1
I went into work and was told by my boss, that last night, a woman was awaken to a knock at the door. She didn't see anyone, so her husband went outside to check around the house. While he was looking around the house, the person who had knocked on the door, stabbed him in the back and killed him. This was a very close friend of my boss, and him and his son, where hunting partner. Not sure if they arrested the guy or not, the information I've posted here, is all I know.

So, if anyone gets a knock on the door, in the middle of the night, call 911 before attempting to search your property, and don't go unarmed as he did.

Stay safe, and when in doubt, let the professionals handle it.

Sounds like he was setup ... So unless you got someone out to get ya ... yeah, don't go outside unarmed.

How does being armed help if you're stabbed in the back?

Body armor would help, I imagine.

If the people who want to kill you are your nearest and dearest they will get you one way or another. Before the advent of "affordable" weaponry poison was very popular.

Being pono in your dealings with others and not getting involved with crazy people and raging drama probably go a long way to staying alive well into old age. The random crazy stranger danger is just that, random, and hard to avoid unless you just turn your home into a fortess and stay there 24/7.

I guess the real lesson is, don't go looking around the house without eyes on the back of your head. I think Carol hit the nail on the head.

Just read a great tip. Sleep with your car keys by your bed and if you hear someone prowling outside press the car alarm button.
