#1
The sun is shining through the clouds and it is dry but the wind is gusting with vey cold air. My trees are swaying in racs from 15 to 20 feet on the top half. Whew..... muct be movng. Is anyone feeling it down lower? We are at an elevation of about 2800 feet.

I want to be the kind of woman that, when my feet
hit the floor each morning, the devil says

"Oh Crap, She's up!"

Is is breezy down here in Keaau town...laundry was blown dry in a couple of hours....

Thermometer in the breezeway is at 76, the one in the front garden (with partly sunny/partly cloudy today) is at 86...so pretty nice temps... the sun has been in & out of the clouds most of the morning (with a very light rain early am, the rains of last night & this morning didn't add more than a drop into the rain gauge, but did add some much needed moisture to the garden, which has been blown dry the last couple of days!)

BTW - was watching a couple of honeybees in the pink roses...haven't seen many (maybe even any??) since summer, hopefully a good sign!

Thermometer which is on the back lanai, out of sun and wind, gives us an ambient temperature of 66. Wind is much colder and coming from the east.

Very breezy in HPP, Huge Albezia is swaying in the wind - thank god it's coming down next week. I think the coolness feels different because the humidity is less than usual. Maybe all the fire ants will get shaken from the trees LOL

Light rain at 6 a.m. was more of a mist. Sun in an out now here in upper HPP. Outside thermometer right on 70, one in carport on 66. Wind is cold, coming off the ocean; I'm staying in sweats today. We have had more wind in the last month or so than in the past eight years that I've been here, not used to it. No honeybees here in about two years, the big shiny black ones are around but that's all. Guess I'd better learn how to hand pollinate my veggie garden.

Today is the oldest you've ever been and the youngest you'll ever be, enjoy this day!
I don't know how I got over the hill without getting to the top.

Yes Bluesboy... I am in North Glenwood (mm 20) not that far from the park. It's 2:30 and thins have calmed down a lot. For a while we had windows and doors rattling (( have a lot of glass). Trees are still swaying but the noise has stopped for the most part. Just another enchanting day in Hawaii......

Hi!

Ka'oho Homesteads mauka of Pahoa... elevation 1050 ft.

Temp 73.2 now
Yesterday zero rain
Today .08" of rain.
LOTS of wind but lowest point of the day right now.

If the wind would just slack off, it'd be "the best weather on the planet" to quote Guy Hagi on KGMB!
