Going Public
#1
I have "test driven" this information with a few of you but know that my life has been a pretty open book so.... after two brain surgeries, placement of a shunt, radiation treatment and gamma knife (oh my), my last MRI in February showed that the tumors "APPEAR TO BE GONE". There is a small mark on the films that the neurosurgeon believes is scar tissue only. We will continue to scan periodically and see what happens but it is possible that I have beaten this cancer thing. It has been hard to wrap my head around it. Three months ago I was waiting to die. I am still weak and have post surgical evidence of damage to my right optic nerve so I don't see well to my left and the deficit is enough to keep me from driving. However, each week I get stronger and do more.

I am happy to THANK EACH OF YOU for your good thoughts, energy, prayer and whatever you have offered up to my benefit.

I want to be the kind of woman that, when my feet
hit the floor each morning, the devil says

"Oh Crap, She's up!"

Pam - this is so uplifting. Now it's Pam squared because my own Pam is going through a tough situation but she beat cancer just like you have done. I am so thrilled for you and yes, please believe it's gone. Despite all the amazing treatments that are out there these days the human mind and body is still probably the most powerful tool we can use against disease and you clearly have that instrument sharply tooled.

You're an inspiration!
