April 1st CD Siren Test today @ 11:45
#1
Not joke...esp on the tsunami anniversary - listen - if you can not hear it where you are (or did not hear it & realize it now that you are reading this...)

get on an alternate alert notification... the siren & notification system are for more than just tsunamis, but that is what we think about here....

For the 3rd month in a row the siren in Kapoho didn't work.

I quit getting emails and phone calls a couple of months ago too.My wife gets texts but no emails.

I heard the siren only because I was in Hilo. There is no siren up here in Hawaiian Acres. Yeah, we have no tsunami, but there are other dangers.

This is the only Civil Defense message I got yesterday:
Headline: HCCDA Message: A local radio station had posted a false report that a volcanic eruption had occurred and closed Saddle Road. There is no eruption threat.
Description: A local radio station had posted a false report of a volcanic eruption in the Saddle Road area and that the road was closed. The report is false and there is no eruption threat and all roads are open.

Of course I went around telling everyone that Civil Defense sent out a message about a volcanic eruption... You can't keep a good fool down!
