"Pay 1 million dollars a year for a "community benefits package" that will be administered through the Hawaii island new knowledge fund board of advisers"

... What? Anyone have the faintest inkling who's getting 1 million a year out of this deal and what for?

Sadly, this process isn't over one bit. The petitioners may file a lawsuit against the BLNR and the University of Hawaii, which may result in the CDUP being invalidated and the TMT project being scuttled.

Disgusted with Hawaii and it's process for a company to do business here. They should just pack it up already. Take their BILLIONS of dollars and move it to someone that wants to work with them.
