Hi - Can anyone recommend a good dentist in Hilo? Also, a good Endodontist? I found out today that a root canal I had done TWICE by a certain dentist has to be done again for a third time because he didn't go deep enough. Also another root canal he did once has to be done over. This time I will have an Endodontist do the work. Do you think I would have any chance of getting my money back from the first dentist? Which Endodontist should I go to? Who can I trust? Thanks for any suggestions.

Dr. Chris Igawa, on Lanihuli, right off Kinoole. Phone No.: 935-8909. My husband & I both really like him very much. He's very concerned with his patient's comfort, & he goes over every step of his treatment with you.

Sorry I can't recommend anyone, but an orthodontist specializes in tooth straightening (braces). Think you might mean endodontist, dentist specializing in root canals?
Today is the oldest you've ever been and the youngest you'll ever be, enjoy this day!

I am very happy with the dentist at Island Ohana Dental on Lanikaula . I usually see Germaine.

I'm terrified of dentists, but Dr. Chris Igawa is the best. I have NEVER had any pain when I go to see him. Highly recommended!!

Dr. Chris Igawa is great, but when we were there a few weeks ago, Maka, his receptionist, said he was not accepting new patients and was referring people to Dr. Grace Chen.

Just my humble experience - I had the failed root canal from hell once and learned some things. The new Dentist referred me to an Endontist. When they say specialized it is meaningful. An Endodontist uses an anaesthetic that is way different - mild after effect smooth all the way. They use a different x-ray system that gets the critical angles to see twisted and hidden roots. It was an interesting experience and actually cost me less than the Dentist that did the first job. I learned that molars are tricky and that it is easy to miss a hidden root in one. While I cannot refer it was a very positive dental experience that made me a believer in the Endodontist.
