Ours pond algae is out of control right now but it makes super mulch. I just yank it out and throw it on top of the pile.
I have water hyacinths but they mulitple so fast that I just keep yanking out handfuls of that too. My garden is very happy!
I only have small fish so they cant keep up with the plants or the algae, but once a week or so I will take a trash bag full to our other pond and the koi and talapia go crazy for it!
