need a doctor

I need to find a doc or clinic that is taking new people.I know this was a topic not to long ago but couldnt find it. I have full insurance. thanks very much.

My experience was to call until someone said , "yes". I spent a day recently trying to line up a doc with no luck so far. Spent a day researching and calling (I called five offices). They're out there, you just have to catch one before he/she leaves! That's what I learned. Crazy stuff here.

Calling the service they render BS is being kind. It's more like criminal negligence IMHO.

If the hospitals are rescued in time by a private company I guess they will survive but who wants to trust their health to a hospital that is making drastic cuts in service...who knows, they may insist that they close for furlough days!

oh i think these are going to be the "good old days" real soon. i dont think people yet realize what obamacare is going to do to healthcare. i know so many doctors are gonna leave private practice and no one will take medicare. medicaid will be next. this is rationing, just because they dont want to call it that. but if no doctors will take you if your insurance reimbursement is so low, it is rationing. when things hit 20 cents on the dollar, private practice just cant survive, welcome to the bay clinic and its twins...start reading up on home remedies.[]

Hamakua Health Center in Honakaa is taking new patients. And you don't have to wait a month for an appointment. Only problem is that it's an hours drive from Hilo

Try Hawaii Island Family Health Center on Mohouli. 932-4215. You have to "apply" to become a patient. Everyone there is so nice.
