Currently available are:

Minari - $2.50 per net pot.
(Oenanthe javanica AKA Japanese Parsley, Chinese Celery, and Korean Watercress) Healthy,mineral rich vegetable.

Azolla - $1.00 per net scoop.
Protein rich fish/chicken feed.

Salvinia - $1.00 per net scoop.
Fast growing bio-fertilizer, mulch, nitrogen fixing, livestock fodder

Water Hyacinth - 50¢ per cluster.
Fast growing decoration, bio-fertilizer, mulch, nitrogen fixing, livestock fodder.

All of the above can be eaten by Tilapia, and all will help clean/clarify the water.

both azolla and water hyacinth are found in the river that runs through waipio valley. you can get to it without violating anyone's privacy by gather both at the mouth of the river where it pours into the ocean.

Being from Florida it just seems so strange to see people saying positive things about water hyacinth. Millions are spent in Fla trying to control it but of course Hawaii doesn't have enough fresh water ecosystems for it to get out of control in I suppose.

Unfortunately duckweed and azolla are two different plants and azolla seems to be easy to find,e.g., Garden Exchange.
