Verizon down ?
#1
Both of our Verizon phones have been unable to get a signal since yesterday evening. But strangely our Verizon home fusion internet is working fine. AT&T phone is OK.

Our Verizon is down also here in lower HPP.
How do we contact Verizon to let them know?

That would be great if we had phone service. 611 or any other numbers do not go through. " no service"

I just had live Internet chat with Verizon help. They said the problem originated in Hilo and techs have been working on it for 2 hours now.

Does anyone here have Verizon cell phone service right now? Post if you do. I need to make some calls and would like to drive to location Verizon is working.
Thanks much

Unfortunately the cell carriers don't much advertise other ways to contact them.

If I hike up towards the road, I get LTE (band 14) at -112dbM (barely) -- not sure which tower this corresponds to, as they tend to hide this information from mere "consumers".

VZW says "they know about it" and will fix it "as soon as possible".

My phone picks up either 1xRTT or 4G, so I'd guess the 3G side is down; this would explain "home fusion works/but phones don't". I would also guess it's a tower issue, not backhaul, since I can actually make calls when I see 4G.

Probably be a good idea to have VOIP so you have some sort of backup. Skype is incredibly cheap and good for emergencies.

Both require broadband, which many people get from a cell carrier such as Verizon.

Currently works fine in Hilo. Unfortuantely I did not check periodically on my drive in to find out when the signal started.
