I searched the internet and did not find much information. Is there a nice place to have small dogs (Dachshunds) boarded around Pahoa?
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

Bar King Kennel up here in OrchidLand. I groom cats for them, and see how they handle the dogs. They are fabulous! The dogs are happy and well cared for.

tip well - the staff deserves a little extra for the care they provide.

There's a kennel in Keaau that handles quarantined dogs for ag. I don't know anything else about it.

We have used Bar King several times and are satisfied. The dog complained, but that is par for the course.

We have also been very happy with Bar-King for our somewhat spoiled little dogs. We take them there for grooming, also.

Bar King is close by to Pahoa. But if you don't mind the drive, I prefer Hilo Holiday Pet hotel in Mountain View. Susan does an excellent job with the doggies. No need to pay extra for "outside" time. Bring your own food too.
