Hilo's first ever Gay Pride Parade and Festival takes place today, July 6th. The festivities start at 11:00 a.m. with a parade through downtown Hilo.
Music, food, arts and crafts, and aloha for all. I'll be at the bandstand at 12:30 p.m.with a few of my friends from the Puna Men's Chorus. Hope to see you there!

Darn, I wish I would have known about this yesterday! Is there an email list or something I can sign up for so that I won't miss it next year?
Mahalo!

My point was that the organization called "Hawaii Island Pride" has a website (link already provided). They are also on Facebook. And if you "watch" their website, eventually I am sure they will update it to provide information about the next Pride Festival, which I imagine will take place roughly eleven months or so from now.
The purpose of this thread was to announce the then pending Pride Festival. I have no special knowledge about the date, time or location of the next island Pride Festival. You will want to get that information elsewhere --perhaps from Hawaii Island Pride.
Congratulations on your first post, alon. My name is spelled K-a-l-e-n-a. Aloha.

No. It's true. Can't spell my own false name. Too-shay.
