This was captured from our gate camera a few years ago.
Worth a watch if you want to know how the thieves operate....

We got a sign that says

"forget the dog, beware of redneck".

Maybe I need to change that to

"Forget the dog, beware of redneck with can of pork'n'beans".

Can u tell I am still so tickled that the sistah helped capture the guys by the PD being able to identify them with her can in the back of the truck. A story for her kids to tell for years!

I'm waiting for the 7"x7" signs to start popping up in yards and on fences around HPP that say:

Good video. Shows how a vehicle can look suspicious. Also shows how gates are a good thing. I also noticed that there is no opposing neighbor which is a great deterrent. Something thieves look for. side neighbors are good to ally with if possible. I've driven up on a white Dodge truck casing our place before. I pulled up right behind him and just stopped and sat there. After about 20 seconds of this the truck slowly pulled away. I was steaming but just stayed cool. Another time I chased away some would be thieves who backed into my drive and were just sitting there watching for any sign of activity. When I started walking up the drive they pulled away. I believe my Gate was the best deterrent in both instances.
One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.

Laminate and post some targets with holes near the bullseye near the property boundary/gate. [Can buy targets at Walmart]

Even if you don't have a gun, just poke some holes near the center with a pencil! Tongue

It's not what the law says, but how it's applied that counts. For now, in Hawaii County self-defense is illegal when they want it to be and not when they don't. Take it from someone who committed the act of self-defense from a kidnapping, assault, and attempted murder in her own home. Called police, police call back and say their busy with a "traffic incident" (911 recording of this has never been released though requested many times). Perp is recorded admitting his crimes. Yet, according to Judge Glen Hara I should have "called a cab". The sad reality is that a cab probably would have been a quicker and more professional response.

I would rather be judged by twelve than carried by six.

Zimmerman walked because of "jury instructions". Unless you're insured of a jury FULLY knowledgeable of how the law works, I doubt you would want to be judged by 12.

Nope, I would much rather be judged by 12 then carried by six to my burial. If I am being judged by 12 at least I am still breathing!
