Woman's body found off Kalapana
There has been some momentary confusion concerning the number of tents or campsites associated with the Bo and Brittany investigation. I would like to dissolve said confusion by citing search warrants 2013-161 and 2013-162.

This Search Warrant(2013-161) is dated 05-28-13 at 0910 hours.

Fetuutuunai AMUIMUIA, Search Warrant No. 2013-161 reads:

“A campsite located at GPS coordinates N19.20.799, W155.0.769, approximately 15 to 20 feet from the shore/cliff area in Kalapana, to include an orange and gray single vestibule Ozark trail tent, approximately
6#8242;x 6#8242;and two clotheslines, one which was tied to tree located approximately 5#8242; away from the tent with clothing hung from the line in a northerly direction and another that was tied to a tree approximately 20#8242; away from the tent in the southeasterly direction.”

“On 05-28-13 at 0910 hours, Detective GRANT TODD located a campsite approximately two miles north of the staging area located at GPS coordinates N19.20.799, W155.0.769, approximately 15 to 20 feet from the shoreline. The body was found in close proximity to this campsite. There were no other campsites nearby.”

A QUICK BREATHER… so this means the body was found in close proximity to the orange tent campsite and that there were no other campsites nearby. This is also the campsite the cut clothesline was found at. This campsite was discovered 2 hours and 44 minutes after the body had been found. This orange tent campsite was unknown to the Johnson family. We only knew Brittany and Bo to be staying together in a single grey and yellow tent on a single campsite setting.

This Search Warrant(2013-162) is dated May 30,2013.
DETECTIVE ROBERT ALMEIDA, Search Warrant No. 2013-162 reads:

“A campsite located at GPS coordinates 19 degrees, 21 feet, 21 inches north and 154 degrees, 58 feet, 44 inches west, in the vicinity of TMK 3-1-2-42-14, in Kalapana, Puna County and State of Hawaii, to include a yellow and gray colored tent approximately 7#8242;x 7#8242;in size in a cleared out forested area on the makai side of the lava field.”

This Search Warrant is dated for May 30, 2013. The day the yellow and gray tent was found. This campsite was found by Almeida accompanied by DAVIS and ELARTH 2 days, 4 hours, and 34 minutes after Brittany’s body was found. They did not find this tent for 2 days plus.

SARAH’S SPECULATION- search warrant 2013-161 says that there were no other campsites nearby the orange tent, and that the body was found in close proximity to the orange tent, so I am speculating that the murder took place at the orange tent. The drag marks made of “what appeared to be human hair and human tissue were 100 yards south of the campsite” (orange tent campsite) “leading in the makai direction.”I would like to remind everyone that the Detective uses the words “appeared to be human hair and human tissue.” Until test results return, we do not know if this was human or animal.

SARAH’S CONCLUSION- From this information provided by the District Court of the Third Circuit State of Hawaii , 2013 JUN 21 AM 10:46, Clerk E. GOOVEIA, I can deduce that there were two separate tents that were different colors and dimensions on two different campsites at two different GPS coordinates.

It was Bo's purchase only, I can't speak for his financial status, but I do know that he has always been very conservative and smart with his money. The Lava Tour Service was his bright idea, also his own. There had been talk about organic farming, but when I spoke with my Brother about this, I got the impression that it would be a personal farm, for supporting their nutritional needs only. My Brother was a master of hydroponics and knew how to grow. It wasn't supposed to be a grand organic farm, but more of a simple bed of soil above the lava. I had also talked with Bo about starting a small coconut oil and butter business. It wasn't necessarily serious, just another possibility of what could be done with the resources down there. Back to the money required for the purchase, he was prepared for the closing of the sale for the property on 28 May 2013.

If anyone has any questions that i can answer about Bo and Brittany, I will do my best to answer accurately. They both arrived on the island in January. Bo flew in the last week of January. There are a few names that Bo and Ruth had mentioned of friends or acquaintances from the island. Bo had his house for a certain amount of time before Brittany moved in. I do not know where she was staying before that. A guy named Leif was involved with Brittany during the beginnings of her stay in Hawaii. His last name is unknown to me, maybe the police have that info.

I have also heard that there were other people camping with Brittany and Bo that week. A Big Island local has said that it was Brittany’s sister camping with Bo and Brittany. Brittany has a half sister from her biological father’s side. His name is Todd and he lives in the Caribbean. I don’t know where his daughter is currently living. I believe her name is Summer. Whether or not Brittany’s sister was one of the people camping with them, it could explain the extra tent(orange.) The Johnson family only knew Bo and Brittany to be staying in the yellow and grey tent that Brittany’s adoptive father, Ted, bought as a gift to Bo and Brittany when they visited California. So where did the orange tent come from? Who was staying in the tent? If whoever stayed in the orange tent was there with Bo and Brittany, could they be hurt/dead too? If they weren’t hurt or dead, how come they never returned for their orange tent and belongings? And if they weren’t Brittany and Bo’s friends and completely uninvolved, why would they leave their orange tent and campsite unattended?

omg. Hopefully the police is investigating this issue? It would be pretty important to know who was in the orange tent? Someone knows and yet and no one is talking. Hmmmm.

Thank you for the information Sarah. There are some very important leads there.
I didn't know that Bo had definitely spoken about running a lava tour, or that there were definitely 2 tents.
If Brittany was involved with someone else previously then that also needs checking out.
I hope the police are on top of all this.

I received a call from a witness who said there was a man traveling on the bus from Hilo to Pahoa with Bo and Brittany. No name just this description...He had really short dark hair, darker skin, taller than Bo and Brittany, very skinny, not great posture, short beard with a little more than stubble, he was dressed in worn out clothes, he didn't fit in and he was shady.
If the HPD were interested in any information that we could contribute maybe it is time the HPD makes an effort to communicate with us and follow up on crime stopper calls.

It is not only hurtful but irresponsible to name names of family members, friends etc. This type of information should be shared with HPD (as it already has been) NOT on this forum.

the guy on the bus is described like many people look like anywhere in Puna.

The only one who should be speaking on behalf of Brittany is her family (her mom, her father or brothers)no one else! She was murdered, violently and disposed of like trash over the cliff. Do NOT speak for her.................. in any way, shape or form!
