Home Invasion in HPP Fri night 30th Ave
#71
Agree Paul about this place ... Example, makes me happy to see cars all around in parking lots with windows down and tons of 'stuff' just sitting there. LOL ... Yesterday, I saw a new Honda SUV with windows down and hatch up.

Wonder what these gun heros gonna do when they caught pants down ... By this I mean re ANd un loading.

Even the safest places in the world still experience crime. Unless you live in LA-LA-LAND then I guess nothing bad ever happens but the rest of us live in the real world where you hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

You ever think Gun Makers and the NRA want you and everyone else to THINK that way? I believe what you manifest is what you are gonna get. Send vibes of Aloha and you will get that back.

The vibes you are sending out is painting a target on your home already. Attitude speaks louder than actions.

I too live with Aloha. Hell, I don't even close my door...Let alone lock it! hahaha One up on yeah!

I second that Paul!

By the way 2k, If you think shooting to "wing" someone is the correct procedure, you need proper training. (Or different TV programing)

I actually lived in LA-LA-Land (aka Los Angeles) and left my windows open and doors unlocked. I guess the criminals assumed I had nothing valuable by doing so. The house next door with tons of anti-burgulary crap was broken into 3 times while I lived there.

I am with PaulW and others - keys in car in my driveway (go ahead steal it! LOL) and we leave our windows and doors unlocked at house.

As with anything, do what works for you. Gun and paranoia suit many people. I would be afraid of shooting a loved one with my own gun accidentally so I am not a good candidate.

Either way, you are getting broken into or you arent so you gotta do what makes you be able to sleep at night.

True at times but I don't think I'm paranoid. I really know of very few current or former cops that don't see the logic and advisability of a firearm.

Edit to add that several times over the years I advised complainants to get a firearm when they had reason for concern, knowing law enforcement might not get there in time during their crisis. I know for a fact I wasn't the only cop to give that advice. Granted most of these instances were involving matters in neighborhoods of a socioeconomic class few here can relate to, often involving stalkers, repeated burglaries and home invasions, or felons slated for release from prison. I wasn't one to lie and tell them I would always get there in time knowing thats not always the case.

Oink,

I would listen to a voice of reason such as yours.

Forgot to add .. Listen to = Take into consideration because it was coming from a grounded, non-hyperbolic approach.

Some areas in Puna have a 2 hour police response time.

If you want to live there, best be able to defend oneself.

Let me apologize. Guns and Paranoia dont always belong together. I should have used "or".

And again, people have to do what enables them to sleep at night.
