Blind Black Cat
#1
We have noticed a black cat in our yard over the last few days and today I realized it is blind. It's a thin black cat with white tips on the tail and feet. I tried to approach it, but I think it's scared. It has a scar on the back, probably from going under our fence. We are in HPP near the ocean. Does anyone know this porr kitty?

I can come with a live trap and we can try to capture it. I have three blind feral rescues, always room for one more. Call me 982-7043. Meanwhile, it would be good if you could leave some food and water where it can find it. Aloha.

Today is the oldest you've ever been and the youngest you'll ever be, enjoy this day!

Good luck retrieving and helping this cat. Reminds me of a Halloween evening I was sitting in my room in Berkeley, CA and turned around to find a one-eyed pure black cat sitting on my window sill. By the time I informed friends about it, it was gone. Some of them believed me, some didn't.

Trapping didn't work ... crafty cat. So, after months of traveling down to the bottom of HPP every day to feed and slowly befriend the blind cat, several loose marauding dogs pushed the situation to urgent in the past week. Yesterday I was finally successful in getting him/her into a carrier, out of danger and home with me. We have a vet appointment this afternoon for combo test, check lesion on back, evaluate eyes, general physical checkup. If combo is negative then back home to begin slow integration into cat family. A long haul but worth it, every little life is precious. Aloha!

I am so much more like I am today than I ever was before!
