Fukushima
They say 40 years for cleanup, yes it is in our waters here as it is in Canada, the entire west coast as in Mexico, the fish are showing in the currents since the tsunami ,it is in the Indian ocean as well moving across Australia and the entire worlds oceans, we have been warned many years ago about the migrating fish that absorb the pollution as in mercury and other pollutants that the corporations and industries have been dumping and continue to dump in our rivers to the oceans and blatantly dumping in the oceans. maybe this is a good time to let the ocean replenish and stop eating for our health for now? currently the U.S FDA is not testing for a reason, we know they are but not telling us the truth. get a radiation detector or keep polluting your body. Imagine if they told us the ocean is not good for us? how many corps and individual businesses would be destroyed? it would destroy the economies of the world. Do a research on Hiroshima? a success story, we will live with government choices sad but true. at least we are still alive? we still have a choice.

I feel like people will never wake up. Its a sickness in humanity. You think you can just continue to live like a virus destroying the area you take over, that you can continue to destroy earth, and still somehow, in your peabrained selfish world, think its not going to effect earth.

I really have no words that wont just fall on def ears.

havent made up my mind whether this is truth or fiction...

Consider the source. It was written by a lawyer with a book to sell. And from his #1 point on... balding polar bears, which were already being reported before the Fukushima disaster... he's not presenting real evidence, just drawing empty conclusions based on a common fallacy that erroneously implies that because B follows A, then A must be the cause of B, when in fact they may not be related in any way. IOW, it's junk.

Contrast that with the following, written by a real, live, bona fide scientist who is working in the field, who says the radiation is so massively reduced at this distance that it is not dangerous, and says that she's still eating the fish. It's an entertaining and very informative read in a reputable journal.

what ever happened to footnotes..... all this ranting and raving on the web ..... my question was rhetorical - in like its up to the individual to decide because no one really has a clue ---- I'll watch you folk eat fish for a while before I do O.K.?

bottom line the genie is out the bottle and not yet under control or to be constrained from leaking - after three years of direct contact with the reactor with ocean water with no control ....is that a good thing? (another rhetorical question)

edit - bonus link - nope its not a hot dog steamer :http://japandailypress.com/steam-rises-from-fukushima-reactor-cause-still-unknown-0341788/

I second all of what Bullwinkle wrote, The fact this disaster happened at all is horrible for the world. Those in charge over Japan and its nuclear crises seem to be in tears or next to them when ever you see them explain what's happening, Why?. I don't trust the situation or story being told from the disaster to have a strong feeling one way or the other. So for now we skip most fish or Tuna and eat more fruit and garden salads with Man candy & rice. How is the Shrimp market now? Did the hurricanes or Tidal waves hurt this industry? " Maybe Geothermal can help raise clean shrimp and fish for our community in the future or today? " I see jobs and a healthier community working with Geothermal for the purpose of self-sufficiency. Geothermal uses a whopping 3,500 hundred gallons of PUNA's water per Minute currently.

Pacific bluefin tuna transport Fukushima-derived
radionuclides from Japan to California

The Fukushima Dai-ichi release of radionuclides into ocean waters
caused significant local and global concern regarding the spread of
radioactive material. We report unequivocal evidence that Pacfic
bluefintuna,Thunnus orientalis, transported Fukushima-derived
radionuclides across the entire North Paci
fic ocean.

The Doomers are proved wrong time and time again, yet they keep pushing their fanciful lies.
Then they have the audacity to tell rational people that they need to "wake up".

How about it - how many years of normal radiation in Hawaii before you admit you were wrong? Three years not enough?
