Plans put on hold/ lava flow?

Anyone putting any building plans on hold because of the lava flow?

I was noticing there are dozens of lots being dozed / cleared / houses going up in Orchidland still.

Have you seen my Crystal Ball? Seriously --- We are living on the side of a VOLCANO! There will always be a risk. If someone asked me (today) if they should wait till the volcano stops ... I'd laugh and say are you feeling lucky?

As RainyJim says... There seems to be all kinds of construction in beaches / shores as well. It's not slowing down and the highway is still being built.

I would imagine when the volcano gets close to 130 there will be MANY many good deals to be had if you have the CASH that is!

Our plan was to come build a small cabin on lot next to home we built years ago, but it might be better plan to come occupy the house and see it all unfold? We are in the direct path, pretty much I think. What an experience, not trying to discount this if it occurs to many others.

Yeah, Orchidland is off to the side. I'd wait it out in Ainaloa if it were me. GL. I read your old posts long ago. I know it's been a "long haul". But really who knows. The volcano will do what it wants!

How about a small house that can be moved if necessary? Then you can build and still avoid any future lava flows. Folks used to move houses all the time when the sugar company was in business.
