So Long to an American icon and maybe the most talented child star of all time.Those movies stand the test of time as well as any.Do yourself a favor and catch one if you can.She really could make you forget your troubles.Gonna have some animal crackers in my soup tonight

a little off hawaii topic - but Shirley Temple Black had a house in my area in cali ..... also a diplomat to Spain in later years - dont know about a connection to Hawaii

we made the joke - poor Shirley went from here to govt provided housing - in Spain......

I believe Shirley Temple met her second husband, Charles Black, in Hawaii where he was involved in shipping.

Visited troops 1939/assistant to the pres of Hawaii pineapple co/etc many connections.told me it was her favorite place in the world and I'm pretty sure that by 1994 she had seen the world.filmed at least 1 movie there as well.so put the cherry juice in the 7 up and give her a big ALOHA toast

She only added to her reputation after she grew up and did nothing to tarnish the respect the public had for her. A life well lived, she will be remembered for a long, long time.
